With the school year flying by, Thanksgiving break was here before we knew it. The week came, and before we knew it, it was over and it was time to get back to the books. All of the students were so ready for a break, to have a week off to do nothing. A break was needed to put the stress of school and everything else aside. The Thanksgiving holiday is always a nice break to spend time with family and focus on the many things we have to be thankful for, and for all that we take for granted each and every day.

After talking to many peers about what they did over their holiday, a lot of sleeping and relaxing took place. Everyone was really excited about having the week off. Many football players also said how they prepared for the game against John Curtis the whole week, also. Numerous people also said how they went shopping on Friday, which is always an exciting day to shop.

When senior Ryan Parr was asked about his break, he replied, “My break was good. I practiced football a lot, visited with my family, slept, and had a bad and emotional loss on Friday. I ate a ton of food on Thanksgiving and enjoyed not having any school the whole week.” Senior Coryn Bankester said, “My Thanksgiving Break went very well. An exciting moment of the holidays was my brother getting engaged. Thanksgiving Day was wonderful at my Aunt’s house. The week was kind of boring and interesting, but I was very glad to have the week off, it was a much needed break.”
