Pokemon are creatures that have many purposes in their world. They can be used as pets for people, or more likely, to fight other Pokemon with their trainers in many kinds of contests. A Pokemon Trainer’s job is to become the greatest Pokemon Masters. Of course, there are other goals that trainers can take, such as a Coordinator. Finally, mastering the Pokemon games is so tough… It’s too hard to describe.
To become a Pokemon Master (of course this replies to Pokemon fans and wonderers), there are 3 things that you must do/have.
1. Your beginning Pokemon- Depending on the region on the game you play (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh), on that hometown, you pick your starter Pokemon. In every region, you pick from 3 types: Grass, Fire, or Water. Your choice depends on taste. Let’s take the Kanto region (the first region discovered). In Pokemon Red and Blue for the Game Boy (and Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green for the GBA), you start from Pallet Town, and go to Professor Oak. There, you pick from 3 Pokemon: Bulbasaur, the Grass type (and Poison type); Charmander, the Fire type; and Squirtle, the Water type. Choose carefully, because you can’t rechoose. Once you picked your Pokemon, we move on to…
2. Your Pokemon Journey- your mission is to Capture a lot of Pokemon, train them, and battle trainers. You will go to Gyms when you are ready. There, you will fight the Gym Leaders (Super Trainers), in order to collect badges (symbols to prove you beat that Gym League. In every Region, there are 8 Gym Leaders you must beat in order to proceed to the Pokemon League. Once you have all 8 Badges, get past Victory Road (the Road to the League), and head into the Giant Building. There you will register for the Pokemon League and defeat the Elite Four (4+1 Master Trainers who you must defeat to become the Champion, and the +1 is the current Champion who is the greatest challenge of the Pokemon League). The Elite Four are extremely tough, but if you somehow manage to beat them, you and you Pokemon in your party (Pokemon carried with you right now, up to 6) will be in the Hall of Fame, where are the Champions of the Elite Four. Of Course, you may think that after that, it’s all over. Wrong! Now we finally come to
3. Capture all the Pokemon- Once you become the Champion, what do you do? Capture all the Pokemon. How many are there? Well, if you were playing Red and Blue, and Fire Red and Leaf Green, 150. In retrospect, there are 490+3 Pokemon in all 4 regions, and +3 is 3 Pokemon that haven’t been possible to catch, only in Japan.
The Main games for capturing Pokemon are as follows: GB- Red, Blue Yellow (Special Pikachu Edition, where you play as Pikachu as you starter Pokemon); GB Color- Gold, Silver, and Crystal (Johto League games, and Crystal is the first game you get to choose to be a boy or girl); GBA- Fire Red, Leaf Green, Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald (The last 3 are Hoenn League and Emerald had the Battle Frontier, so you can collect symbols); lastly, Diamond and Pearl (Sinnoh Region). The Most famous Pokemon is Pikachu, a cute, small mouse, with red cheeks, and can cause lightning storms. As the main logo says, “Pokemon, you gotta catch’em all”! Good luck, being the Pokemon Masters. And, if you like Pokemon, you can watch them on Cartoon Network. “Catch’em, Catch’em, Gotta catch’em all. Gotta catch’em all, POKEMON!
