LSU Victory November 6, 2007

Number 4 ranked LSU defeated Auburn, ranked number 17, 30 to 24. The game was held on October 20, 2007 in Baton Rouges one and only Tiger Stadium, also well known as “Death Valley”.


LSU (7-1) with a record of seven wins and one loss was favored to win this home game over Auburn (5-3) whose record is five wins and three losses. In the first quarter of the game Auburn had the ball and ran 63 yards with 11 plays, Brandon Cox through a 17 yard pass to Montez Billings and after that Wes Byrum kicked a field goal witch made the sore seven to nothing. Then LSU ran 62 yards with only 4 plays, Matt Flynn through a 46 yard pass to Keiland Williams then Colt David kick a field goal. Then the game was tied, LSU seven, Auburn seven. In the second quarter Auburn ran 40 yards in 3 plays, Carl Stewart ran the last yard then Wes Byrum made another field goal. Soon after that they ran 90 yards in 12 plays with Wes Byrum with 22 yard line field goal, witch now made the score LSU seven, Auburn seventeen.

Then in the third quarter LSU made 8 plays and ran 56 yards and Colt David 29 yard line field goal. Then once again Colt David 26 yards this time and LSU ran 60 yards and with only 5 plays. LSU brought up their score and it now was LSU thirteen, Auburn seventeen, Auburn was still winning. That all changed in the fourth quarter, LSU made 8 plays and ran 85 yards; Matt Flynn through a 5 yard pass to Jacob Hester, then ran 55 yards and 7 plays and Clot David with a 33 yard line field goal. Then it was Auburns turn they ran 82 yards with 9 plays and Brandon Cox through a 3 yard pass to Rodgeriqus Smith. LSU came back with a run of 58 yards and 9 plays and then it was all over when Matt Flynn through a 22 yard pass to Demetrius Byrd.

The game finally ended this was a nail biting game, LSU won right at the end with a 22 yard pass. The score was LSU 30, Auburn 24.
