This week’s teacher of the week is Coach Oliver Crockett. This year is his first year at St. John High. Coach Crockett is not only an offensive coordinator for the football team, but also a softball coach. He also does summer workouts and helps with track. Coach Oliver Crockett has two kids and is happily married. He
lives here in Plaquemine. He is a very popular and well-known coach. Many of students claim he is their favorite teacher.
Last week, Coach Crockett saved the day. When the buses who went to the Federal Bank Reserve broke down, Coach Crockett drove as quickly as he could to try and get the students home. Due to this hard work he was nominated for the teacher of
the week position. Coach Crockett saved the day!

Coach Crockett is also known as “Cricket” Crockett. He is a very funny man. He jokes a lot and you can always find him goofing around. However, he is a very hard worker and always gets the job done. I asked Coach Crockett how he felt about being teacher of the week and he said “I am very proud to be teacher of the week. I have been wanting to be teacher of the week for a while. I am very proud to be a member of the St. John Faculty. I love it here. I like the students and my players are also cool. It isn’t an easy job trying to manage football, teach, and be a family man. I am glad I was chosen for this duty.”
