Seth Thomas Moore is this weeks Player of the Week. He is the first cross country runner to grace the Eagle Times. This is Seth’s only year of ever doing anything with his school. Seth is slightly handicapped with a lazy right eye. It would be a problem for it if it was any other sport.

Moore is one of seven members of the Cross Country team, which means more focus on fewer players. When asked what Moore thought of the “sport” he said, “It isn’t easy running all those miles, but at least I am not getting hit. Getting hit scares me…..a lot”. The team runs two miles for practice and three miles for meets. There has only been two meets, which Moore’s best three mile run was a 24 minute run. That is more than what this reporter could ever do.

There is honestly not that much positive feeling about the team. An unnamed runner said that she doesn’t think the team can compete at all. Moore doesn’t agree. Moore has nothing but positive energy towards his fellow runners and classmates. “I think we have a good chance to good”, said Moore. We could use a little Moore spirit.

With all the love and support of family and friends, how can this young man not be successful? He is running for more than his team. He is running for pride, to have something to be remembered by for the rest of his life. He is determined to win and let nothing stop him. We will support him and all runners in there up coming season. GOOOOOOOOOOO EAGLES!!!!!!!!
