Things to Do September 11, 2007

There isn’t much to do this weekend. The seniors are going out of town this weekend on senior retreat. Seniors also go on career day this Wednesday, which is a college fair. It is from 9-11 a.m. at the Plaquemine Civic Center. There is a football game on Friday. St. John plays U-High. LSU plays Middle Tennessee on Saturday at home. Football games are fun to attend, but they are also fun to just watch on TV with your friends.
Senior retreat is an annual retreat that St. John seniors are required to attend. If we don’t go on retreat, we aren’t allowed to graduate in May. It is a time to come together as a class and a time to come together with God. Every year seniors go on retreat and learn about themselves and about their lives as Christians. The retreat is on September 15-17. We leave on Saturday and come back Monday. We leave at 11 a.m. Saturday and return sometime Monday afternoon. Ask a teacher for information on what to bring.
This is yet another boring week for the underclassmen. Life seems as if it is passing by so slowly. Don’t give up. Keep studying and eventually you will get to do all the fun things on the weekend and miss school as a senior. Remember that in life you must start at the bottom of the food chain and work your way up. Life is not all about handouts from your parents.
