In today’s society it is very common for most people to have a pet, especially a cat or dog. Some people, however, have different choices. Having a pet is great, but sometimes you may not have any time to tend to it. Most students who are interested in purchasing a pet don’t consider how much spare time they will have for it.

Many teens have a MySpace–an account with the popular social networking website–and spend anywhere from five minutes to three or more hours online. Last week the Eagles traveled down the bayou to Houma to play the H. L. Bourgeois Braves. The Braves are a powerhouse in 5A football. They are ranked thirteenth in class 5A in the state of Louisiana. They are a very good football team and they are well coached. The Braves are predicted to have a wonderful year in football. This is good news for the town of Houma. The Eagles went into this game with wins over Clinton High School in the pre-season scrimmage and cross-town rival Plaquemine High School in the jamboree. This was the first time that any St. John football team has ever played against a 5A school.

Student Council
The Student Council performs as a student advisory group to the administration and faculty. Student Council has been a part of St. John High School for a very long time. Ms. Leah Bertke was in charge of student council for the previous three years, and this year, Ms. Catherine Orzech is taking over. Student Council gives students the opportunity to be class leaders and help out their class and the school with different functions. Homecoming has been one of the biggest projects in which student council has been involved. Student Council has helped with and put together many of the homecoming functions during the week, and the class officers help to lead the class with projects such as yard cards and banners for homecoming week. There are four positions selected for each grade level.

Prayer
A prayer is something that comes from the heart. Prayers are things that people say every day and night. A prayer is a type of reflection that we do to tell God what is going on in our lives. It’s something that we do to get our problems out to God and just tell Him how we feel. Prayers help you to get out all that you need so that you can be more like Christ and walk in the good path towards Heaven.
